About Scuba Africa
Scuba Africa is a group of comprehensive directory websites that aims to provide the global diving community with information on dive sites, centres and other scuba-related information in Africa.
The conceptualization of Scuba Africa came about as a eureka moment during a two-tank dive in 2022, a group of tourists expressed how hard it was for them to find reliable information on dive centres and which centres visited the dive sites they were interested in.
Scuba Africa is a scuba directory for divers by African divers. It aims to provide accessible scuba content and information to allow divers to maximize their experiences with the most up-to-date information. Africa is full of nature and beauty; we aim to make exploring that beauty one click away.

To produce accessible scuba content and information for the diving community and maximize scuba exploration experiences around Africa.

Environmentalism
Operated by diving enthusiasts Scuba Africa is environmentally conscious we understand how important it is to combat climate change and advocate for causes related to protecting sea life. Profits from the sites will be donated to NGOs like Global Vision International and Marine Cultures, which actively work towards eradicating the crown of thorn epidemic and aquatic protection and conservation.
Empowerment and visibility
Many local businesses don’t have websites or a marketing team to promote their services and often get overlooked, Scuba Africa aims to empower small businesses by creating a platform that allows local small-scale dive centres to be featured and viewed by the wider diving community.
Customer satisfaction
We understand how tedious planning an expedition can be, Scuba Africa is made by divers for divers; we care about the diving community and have constructed the directory to include information we know is valuable and helpful. Our site is accessible and easy to manoeuvre enabling our users to plan a diving expedition with ease.
Scuba Mauritius
Scuba Mauritius, a branch of Scuba Africa, is a website that aims to provide comprehensive information to the diving community in Africa. Located 2000km off the eastern coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean, Mauritius boasts over 430 marine species and 200 coral species. Its 330km shoreline offers a diverse range of diving sites, including reefs, caverns, coral arches, and shipwrecks dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as drift dives. During the winter season, offshore waters provide opportunities to see sharks, pelagic fish, dolphins, and humpback whales. Diving during the summer months (November-March) is ideal for beginners and professionals, with sightings of various fauna such as parrot fish, groupers, and trumpet fish, along with numerous corals, sponges, and sea anemones.
